Lindsay Buckland — Vice President

Lindsay Buckland is an Australian musician and busker. He plays almost exclusively an electric dulcimer suspending it from his neck like a guitar. Filtering the instrument through MIDI circuitry, he makes it produce the sound of saxes and other instruments.

Kaye Sobieray - Treasurer

Kaye brings the steady, detail-minded background you want in a treasurer. She spent more than three decades with chartered accountancy firms, working across income tax and day-to-day support for small businesses. That experience sharpened her skills in budgeting, reconciliations, cashflow management, payroll and meeting deadlines—quiet, essential work that keeps organisations healthy. Away from spreadsheets, Kaye’s life happily revolves around music and family. She’s a regular at gigs, loves discovering local talent, and enjoys pitching in behind the scenes.

Gary Burrows — Entertainment

Gary is a drummer, guitarist and vocalist who has played in The Rustlers, The Boys and, most recently, Noddy Falls Asleep. A prolific songwriter, Gary has penned more than 200 songs. After returning to Adelaide he joined Brass Carnival, a band that regularly supported touring national and international acts through the 1970s, including John Farnham, Robin Jolley, Pussyfoot, Cleo Laine and Bev Harrell. The group later moved to Sydney—and toured the East Coast extensively. On the road Gary soaked up countless performances, developing an affection for The Radiators’ energy.

She began as a copywriter at Radio 5KA, where she learned how music makes advertising memorable—think the Cottee’s Cordial jingle. Liz then built a career in local and state government, finishing as Administrative Officer for the Palliative Care ward at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. For 35+ years she volunteered in theatre. The arts remain her passion.

Julie Winter - General Member

I was born and bred in Adelaide, grew up near Port Adelaide and now live in the northern suburbs. I worked in banking for more than twenty years before retiring. My passions are music, square dancing and travel— I’ve danced in every Australian state as well as the United States and Japan. I’ve also explored widely across Australia and overseas, from coastal cities to remote national parks. The absolute highlight was trekking in East Africa to see mountain gorillas, an unforgettable encounter that deepened my love of wildlife, adventure, and conservation.
